An open “Canadian” style canoe - 16' version. This 16' canoe is ideal for those wanting something bigger for a double paddle for 2 adults and some gear for day trip or weekend camp etc. or perhaps a day on the water for the kids. It can also be paddled solo. Being the same basic design as our 14' Peasemarsh but at about 2ft longer and a little wider, it makes for a much more spacious canoe. With optional built-in buoyancy fore and aft that can be fitted with small round hatches for storage of valuables etc.Can be built in either 4mm or 6mm plywood (6mm is recommended for the bottom) and requires between 25 and 40 hours to complete. They go together quickly and easily and perform well on the water. Although designed to be paddled while kneeling, seats can be fitted. If you require a smaller canoe, plans for the 10', 12' and 14' versions are also available.
Note: Being a canoe, these boats do not need to be certified under the European Recreational Craft Directive.

STANLEY SmallCraft  is a business seller. We have been designing, building and repairing small boats for over 30 years and have been building our own, original designs for 20 years. In the past 12 years, we have been selling some of the more popular designs as DIY plans, all over the world.
We have built each design ourselves, several times - some a great many times – using ordinary DIY tools so we can get a better idea of the problems our builders may come across. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade and improve the plans to make it as easy as we can for you to build from them. We welcome your feedback and always like to see pictures of your finished boat.
We also sell kits, builder packs (epoxy materials etc.), and complete custom built boats, some of which are sold on . Details of everything we do is on our website and more information is sent with your plans.
If after buying you are not completely satisfied with any aspect of our service to you, please contact us before leaving feedback and we will put things right.
